The Benton Utilities Wastewater Conveyance Department will be conducting smoke testing on August 28, 2023-September 1, 2023 in the areas of Edison, Schley, Hoover, E Sevier, Princeton, Montclair, Belaire, Paradise Circle, North St, Watson Lane, Park, Alcoa Rd, Candis, Doyle, Crystal Dr, Jameson Ave, in front of the post office and behind Office Depot.  A smoke test uses non-toxic smoke and high-capacity blowers to blow smoke through the sanitary sewer lines.

The Benton Utilities Wastewater Conveyance Department will be conducting smoke testing on August 1-4, 2023 in the areas of the drainage basin beginning at between Second & Third Streets from Edison Street going north to Virginia and Denton.  This could affect some side streets in the area.  A smoke test uses non-toxic smoke and high-capacity blowers to blow smoke through the sanitary sewer lines.

Water Crew is out where a 6" main has ruptured in the woods adjacent to Kelley Dr. Customers in the area of Kelley, Elaine, Ruth & Sunnyvale St. will notice reduced to no pressure while the necessary repairs are made. Current estimate is 4-6 hours.

Benton Utilities wants to notify residents and businesses in our area of a scam going on.  An unknown person is calling utility customers identifying themselves as your utility company stating your check was insufficient, and they need a new check number.

The Benton Public Utilities Commission is currently accepting resumes from citizens interested in serving on the Public Utilities Commission. This commissioner will be appointed to fill a partial-term vacancy which will expire on December 31, 2024.

This could also include the following side streets, Pearson, Smith, Maple, Columbia, Schley, Sevier, Conway, North, Carpenter and Watson.  A smoke test uses non-toxic smoke and high-capacity blowers to blow smoke through the sanitary sewer lines.

The Benton Utilities Wastewater Conveyance Department will be conducting smoke testing on July 5-7, 2023 in the area of on River St from Mary Kay Blvd. to Chisum (end of River St.). 

A smoke test uses non-toxic smoke and high-capacity blowers to blow smoke through the sanitary sewer lines.  If smoke is exiting the ground where there is no connection to the sewer lines, this indicates a place where rain or surface water could enter the sewer system commonly known as inflow and infiltration.

Water Crew is on-site where a contractor has broken a main on Old Congo Rd., customers in the area will notice reduced to no pressure while the necessary repairs are made. Current estimate for repairs 4-6 hours.

Customers in the area of Montclair may notice reduced to no pressure due to a crack in the water main. Crews are on-site to make repairs now. Current estimate 2 hours.
