Ongoing Major Projects
- Alcoa Rd Utility Relocation project for the Widening of Alcoa Rd.
- Increasing Line from 2” to 6” on Lillian, and On Carpenter St. , we are increasing the line to a 10”. Work being done by Diamond Const. and should be completed by the end of July.
- Relocation of Overhead to Underground Electrical in the area of the new Riverfront Park, they are also enlarging the line to accommodate growth in this area.
- Installing New Flexnet Water and Electric Meters so meters can be read remotely.
- The Water Storage Tank under construction in the area of Hurricane Lakes is still ongoing. We are expecting it to be completed the end of July or first part of August.
Upcoming Major Projects
- The AR Highway and Trans. Dept. has made us aware of an upcoming project that will widen I-30 in Benton to 6 lanes from exit 116 to exit 111. They have indicated that engineering needs to be done by summer of 2016.
- The new 10 MVA Substation in the Hurricane Lake Estates area, we are in the process of meeting with Entergy Arkansas in regards to the specific location.
- McClelland Engineers is currently designing the new water line to service the 114 properties, it has an estimate of over $1,000,000 so when this project comes into fruition, Benton Utilities will be prepared.
Completed Major Projects
- McNeil Creek Sewer Main Relocation Project to get the lines out of the waterways New Gravity sewer line from the Pilot Gas Station to the Hurricane Lakes Liftstation is now in service which will enable us to take one liftstation out of service.
- Relocation of 16” water main for the Riverside Park Project on Airlane Dr.
