It is both a privilege and honor for Benton Utilities to announce the forthcoming retirement of long-time employee Alan Hendrix.
Alan was hired on May 4, 1978 and has completed 37 years of service. He is a 1972 graduate of Poyen High School. After high school, he worked as a carpenter in Texas then moved back and worked for W.S. Fox Company in Sheridan before being hired here. His daughter, Alicia, was ten months old at the time he came to work here.
Alan assumed his current responsibilities at the Water Purification Plant on April 5, 1980. He has always been a dedicated employee and has had several years of perfect attendance-no absences for sick days.
A celebration honoring his retirement will be held on Friday, July 31, 2013 at the Benton Utilities Office, 1827 Dale Ave., Benton, AR at 2 PM. The reception is open to the public.
Mr. Hendrix represents the dedication to the job we strive to maintain in our offices. As he enters this new era of his life, it is our hope and prayer he is truly blessed and gets to do the things that he enjoys from spending time with his beloved wife, Diane, to hunting or fishing.
