The Benton Utilities Water Dept. will be working in the area of Cole Drive & Spurlock for the next 6-8 weeks. Crews will be replacing an existing 2" galvanized water main that's been in service for approx. 60 years. We will be installing about 2,000 feet of new 6" PVC water main, new service lines to the meters, boxes and possibly some meters. Along with the upgrade for your domestic water service, crews will also install some much needed fire hydrants. Currently, the only fire hydrant in the area is located on Edison Avenue. Construction is projected to start on May 6, 2019.
